Well, our incentive program Keys & Strings Kash seems to be working nicely. Students are starting to make purchases, and the practice times have really picked up! Parent’s, here’s the numbers so far:
The most hours practiced in one week were 8!
The most dollars earned was $46 in one week!
It is doable!
Practice a minimum of 4 days no matter the minimum and you will earn $2
For substantial practice, the pay is $2 per hour, PLUS an additional $2 per day over 4 days. Entertain people you don’t live with and earn an additional $5. Worksheets that are periodically in the waiting room are also worth $5. Show an effort at composing (such as writing out a piece of music) and earn an additional $5. See how this works?
Starting in November we will be holding our 2nd annual gently used coat and food drive
for “Master’s Manna” Soup Kitchen. For food stuff’s, they would prefer canned meats, pasta, rice or paper goods such as toilet paper/paper towels. Please do what you can in these hard times. High School students who would like to participate in community service hours can contact them directly or Sandie will help them get started.
Holiday Open House will be on Saturday December 6th at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Come enjoy some cider, donuts and holiday cheer. Great way to earn a $50 bonus for performing kids!
Basically Baroque is going strong! We still have room for 8 members. The group is doing no only Baroque, but fiddle and hip hop too! We have a viola, violins, clarinet, flute/piccolo, vocalist and electric guitar member now! Always room for someone to join and help us fill out the percussion sections.
Kindermusik classes are currently mid semester. New families can join at any time for a prorated fee. We have the new schedule online for January now; early bird code is hohoho and will save you $10.00. Look forward to seeing you in our new sessions. Code expires December 24th. Don’t forget to let Grandparents and other Relatives know that Kindermusik would make a great gift! Gift Certificates are available for not only Kindermusik but private instruction too!
