MASTER CLASSES
During the week between Christmas and New Years (and perhaps other times of the year) we will be holding Master Classes IN PLACE of individual private lessons.  These special 90 - 120 minute group classes focus on one music topic.  Topics can include performance, theory, composition, music imagery and more!  Groups will be no more than 12 students and will be taught by their private instructor and at times special guest artists.

STUDENT PRACTICE INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Starting in September, private students, Young Child and Piano Adventures students  will start to earn Keys & Strings Kash.   There will be a display in the waiting room case that they can 'shop' from, and they can earn K & S Kash to purchase items.  Not only will they practice more, they will start to learn the importance of earning, saving, and budgeting!

REFERRAL PROGRAM

For each family who registers/enrolls/pays in full from YOUR recommendation you receive a $10.00 credit on your account.  Word of mouth is the best advertising, and we reward you for helping us grow!  There is no limit to this program.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Did you know that Sandie plans many events at area nursing homes, hospitals and hospices for her students to showcase their talents?  These opportunities give the children a sense of accomplishment, and the residents that they entertain pleasure.    It also counts towards required Community Service Hours for our High School aged students.  Just visit your schools Guidance Office, tell them you will be volunteering with Keys & Strings at the event, get the proper paperwork and Sandie will sign it when completed.

LOCAL FOOD DRIVES AND VOLUNTEERING

Keys & Strings and Kindermusik with Sandie is proud to be a part of the Wallingford Community.   She has held gently used clothing and food drives each November that has been donated to the Masters Manna Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen.  Plans are being drawn up to have a coin drive to benefit the Emergency Shelter in town.  Again, more community service hours for our High School aged students who will help sort and deliver food and clothing to the Food Pantry, and who will help roll and cash in the coins and deliver the donations to the Shelter.

FAMILY EVENTS
Our Holiday Open House was a smash last year, and will be even better this year!  We plan in the same evening as the tree lighting on the Green (right outside our door!)  we'll have sweets and cider, and lots of student performances to enjoy.    Open to ALL participants of the studio.

ADULT STUDENT SOCIAL

A fun way for adult students to show off their skills.  This cocktail social includes all adult students who wish to meet others who share their interests and musical goals.  Held in late spring and early winter, this 'potluck supper' event includes music and beverages. For adults students and their adult guests ONLY.

SPONSORSHIP

Do you know a family who could really benefit from Kindermusik but just can't afford the fees?  Ms. Sandie works with area therapists, pediatricians, Birth to 3, speech patholigist and others who refer families knowing that Kindermusik will benefit a child.   If written recommendation is made by a professional who works with the child then tuition fees will be based on a sliding scale.  Materials will still need to be purchased.
