RECITAL DAY!   All I can say is WOW!   All the performers did a spectacular job.  I couldn't be prouder.  Some thank you's are in order.  Thank you to the PARENTS, who without their support our children wouldn't be the great musicians that they are.  Thank you to the Goode and Gade families, who are my left and right hands and sometimes my mind too! Thank you to Larissa who was a great performer organizer.  Thank you to Laurene who was a fantastic door greeter.  Thanks to my better half Jay, who was our caterer, roadie and photographer.  Thanks to my sister Lynn, who was our pastry server.  and most of all THANK YOU STUDENTS!  You again have topped yourselves, and made me very proud.

Some Congratulations are in order as well.  Jen Ferrari, who has been studying since only February did a beautiful rendition of Joplins "The Entertainer".   Yes, that's right........only since February, having never studied before.  She is off to NY State to get her BS in Nursing.  Yeahhhhhhhhh Jen!

Congratulations to James Schlosser, who closed the show with his arrangement of "Breath Of Heaven".  James was recently the lead in his schools rendition of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat".   And his folks didn't know he could sing!  Great job James.

Congrats to Heather Kent, who auditioned on Viola and was accepted into the Educational Center for the Arts Magnet High School in New Haven.  This school is open to all High School students (through audition) in the entire state.  All arts are studied, Graphic, Photography, Sculpture, Creative Writing, Instrumental, Voice, Dance and Theatre.  A special note here is that I was the first Violist to be accepted to ECA.  Heather is the second.  Can you feel my pride in her through this blog?
